Hardwood — Hardwood flooring is solid wood flooring made from timber and cut or planed into varying thicknesses. Because hardwood is a natural product, it takes on character and attributes of wear over use and time. As the oldest type of flooring, it has been used in any setting whether residential or commercial.
Solid hardwood flooring comes in a variety of wood species including oak, pine, beech, hickory, walnut, cherry among others. Hardwood floors may be sanded to bare wood many times due to the thickness of the wood in order to remove the wear and resulting character from the wood.

Engineered — A newer product made available to the market are engineered wood floors. These floors have the appearance of solid wood flooring, but lack the structural integrity of solid wood flooring with the high-quality plywood core with a thin veneer or layer of hardwood floor product on top.
This type of flooring is a less expensive option to solid wood flooring, but it is not possible to refinish this type of floor to bare wood as it will remove the wood veneer on top. The only viable option to bring these types of floors back to beautiful is the Clean ReCoat process.

Laminate — Laminate flooring is created by fusing multiple layers of synthetic flooring product together. This lamination process ensures the layers of floor product is bonded together and it is then protected with a photographic appliqué layer on top to simulate a wood appearance.
These floors are more economical compared to other flooring options, but are unable to be refinished to bare wood in an effort to lengthen its wear life. Clean reCoat is the only option for these types of floors to be brought back to beautiful.

Next, choose the sheen you want.

Satin
The satin sheen is the most popular finish for hardwood floors. This sheen has about 40% luster and is easy to keep clean. This level of luster disperses light and will not spotlight all of the imperfections or dirt.

Semi-gloss
Semi-gloss has a slightly higher luster than satin. This means that more light will reflect on your floors. This sheen helps highlight the formal beauty of your wood floors.

Gloss
Gloss hardwood floors have the brightest luster to create an incredibly glossy look. The glossy sheen will reflect more light than a satin or semi-gloss finish, giving the floor an extra shiny appearance.
*Our customers choose this sheen option 80% of the time because its been popular for its aesthetic versatility for many years and will continue to be for many years into the future!
